Unfortunately, that was a typo in the December issue that was not caught before the electronic and printed versions went out. The deadlines are indeed in 1993 rather than 1992 as indicated. I hope these errors don't discourage too many people from entering the contests. -MLL
Compression Mysteries Cleared
Downloaded Tips & Tricks for the very first ever on Saturday. Excellent ! Have been confused by "Compression" claims for long time. Your Tips cleared it up. Downloaded Compact Pro, used it successfully and mailed shareware $$ already.

This document, as well as the software versions list that went out with many copies of the December issue, is only provided to those readers receiving the printed version of Macintosh Tips & Tricks. The newsletter design and distribution method requires a one-page cover sheet to protect the newsletter in the mail; we work hard to find useful information to fill this space. In the future, corporate sponsors may use this space to advertise their products and services and provide special discount offers to readers. -MLL

Macintosh Tips & Tricks is copyrighted by Giles Road Press and the contributing authors. A subscriber to the printed version of the newsletter may use any of the Quick Tips in a newsletter, provided he includes the name of the contributor if one is present as well as Macintosh Tips & Tricks as the source of the item. If a subscriber to the printed version would like to include any of the longer pieces in a newsletter or other document, he must get permission from the copyright holder -- the author of the piece. Most authors provide contact information in their bio at the end of the piece. If contact information is missing, reach them through Giles Road Press. Other reprint permissions are available on a case by case basis; my December letter to you grants you additional permissions not mentioned here.
